"They said a Journey of a thousand Miles Begins with a Step and History was made yesterday from a bold step that was taken...It was a journey of tears and sweat which started Several years ago.It started with a Conversation with Zac Duwa and it became a reality..He believed in me,He went with me all the way for the 1st Exam,He marked my scripts at home,He made sure I had enough time to study,He was always there in days I have to return late,He encouraged me,Took care of our Little Human whenever I'm away and stays home when the need arises..Thank you so much Darl ðŸ¥°..Being the only Female in my Class plus being a management student was tasking.I was the most disadvantaged cos they all had Aviation Background.I started from the Basic which was knowing my Cardinal Points to knowing my coordinates, to Mastering Flight Planning,Radio Navigation,Aircraft Instruments and so much More..It wasnt a joke but we pulled through!The moment they know I'm from Adamawa,They come back to ask again and go like "You are from ADARMARWARH! ! ðŸ˜€ðŸ˜‚..Oh yes!I am from Adamawa.I had the most Amazing Instructors in the World.Thank God for only him made this Possible."

GOV. ORTOM PLAUDITS TARABA GOVERNOR ON HIS EFFORT OVER JUKUN/TIV CRISIS



Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom on Sunday commended Taraba State Governor,
Darius Ishaku, for the bold steps he’s taken to end the crisis between Jukun and Tiv.

Ortom, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, on Sunday said the decision to set up a committee comprising of Jukun and Tiv representatives will deepen dialogue and prevent further conflicts in the affected areas.



He, therefore, called on the Taraba State Government to sustain the efforts, as no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of violence.

Ortom urged the belligerent groups to embrace the initiative of the Taraba State Governor and allow peace to return.

He added that as Taraba’s neighbour, who also feel the negative impact of the crisis, Benue is optimistic that the measures being taken will lay the roadmap to lasting peace.

Google Hosts 200 Developers At First Ever DevFest Yola





Google Developer Group (GDG) Yola opened its doors to developers from across the state to amplify the 2019 season of Developer Festivals (DevFest) in Nigeria.

This year’s edition of DevFest Yola, which held at City Green Hotel, Yola  on Saturday 26 November 2019, was dubbed the biggest ever community-led developer event in Adamawa State  with about 200 developers of all levels in attendance.
DevFests are large, community-run developer events that take place around the globe focusing on community-building and exposure to Google’s new technologies. The events cover multiple product areas such as Android, Firebase, Google Cloud Platform, Design Sprint, Machine Learning, Mobile Web, Google Assistant, Artificial intelligence and more.

The just-concluded 2019 edition of the Student Award Night , which took place on October 18, at Jolly Nyame Stadium Gym Hall, Jalingo Taraba State , was indeed a celebration of Creativity and Style .
Klub Prestige and the SUG of Taraba State university (TASU) have over years organized this Award event to celebrate the accomplished students who have show style and excellence in various fields.

With about several categories and many nominees, the selected winners proved to be outstanding in their various fields and thus, the recognition.
Some of the winners included: Shakida Record’s Mhizta Riffz who won R & B Singer of the Year and Queen Aisha Abdullahi (Miss Yola) who won “The Most Related Queen’ Award.

No fewer than 100 pupils gathered last Tuesday at the Shagari Primary School, Yola Town in preparation for a spelling competition organised by Miss Aisha Abdullahi 

The spelling Bee is a pet project of Miss Aisha Abdullahi, the reigning Miss Yola. About 3secondary schools were approved to take part in the exercise.

TECH: Labondo Discovery Hub trains children at Robotics Boot Camp




Labondo Discovery Hub organised recently Tech Bootcamp for children between the ages of 8 and 16,  Themed “Codellenium” in the sunny capital city of Yola.

The aim of the training was to improve their technological knowledge and enhance their learning skills, in the light of the current global digital revolution. The kids learnt about Programming, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics and Life Skills, to boost their creativity, communication and collaboration skills.

The newly appointed Director General (Media and Communications) to Governor Ahmed Umar Fintiri, Mr. Solomon Kumangar, has commended the Management Team of The North East Humanitarian Innovation Hub, Yola for their ingenious deployment of Innovation and Information Technology in tackling the humanitarian and development challenges caused by conflict and disasters in the region in Nigeria.


The DG made the statement when he paid a courtesy visit to the Hub On Sunday 19th July 2019.

Mr. Solomon Kumangar noted that he looks forward to a collaboration between Adamawa State Government and the Hub to deliver on the Governor's promise towards youth and women empowerment within the state.

Photos: Popular Eatery, BABZ LOUNGE in Yola gutted by fire

Popular eatery, Babz lounge along Police Roundabout, in Jimeta, Adamawa state was this afternoon gutted by fire. According to inside sources, the fire was caused by fluctuations in the power supply which affected the change over panel of the outfit. Cars parked around the vicinity were immediately evacuated to avoid further damage. See more photos below...

BREAKING NEWS: Unexploded Bomb Canisters discovered in Adamawa Community




Fear looms over the air of Shafaron community of Numan Local Government where new discoveries have been made in line with the recent attacks by the alleged Fulani herdsmen which occurred on the 4th of December 2017 where over 70 died as a result of air raid by the Nigerian Air Force in December, 2017.

The community Leader said communities are now living in fear as some of the bombs allegedly dropped by the Jet Fighters were found on farmlands and inside houses bombed during the attack. "our people now live in fear because no one knows where they may see any explosives. As you can see, some were found in a house bombed byNigerian Airforce, while others were found in farmlands".

Photos: Group stage #StopTheKillings peaceful protest in Adamawa State's Capital




A peaceful coalition of Tribal associations, Civil Right Groups, Faith Based Organisations  from Adamawa State today 7th March 2018, staged a peaceful protest with the theme #Stop the Killing campaign to show their grievances over the gruesome killing of their citizens in various localities within the state most recent in attack was that of Gwamba Community in Demsa LGA.

Speaking on behalf of the coalition, Emmanuel Nicholas said the Government is not doing enough to avert such killings, saying sometimes intelligence reports are given out on social media regarding pending attacks and yet no security measure is taken to avert such.
The group which was initially expected to converge at the Roundabout Mai Doki was dispersed by security against and later reconverged at the NUJ Secretariat, Jimeta

Sex scandal: Stephanie Otobo ‘confesses’, says ‘I was paid to defame Apostle Suleman’


Singer, Stephanie Otobo who made news last year after alleging that she was in a sexual relationship with the Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministeries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, yesterday went to his church in Edo state and in front of his congregation, confessed that she lied against him. According to Stepahnie, she was paid heavily by some politicians to tarnish the image of the pastor.

She appealed to the pastor and his wife, Lizzy, to forgive her which they did. Mrs Suleman later prayed for her and said she has forgiven her.

Shia Muslims visit Yola church to celebrate Festive Period with Christians


Members of the Islamic Movement, known as Shia paid visit to LCCN Damilu to extend their goodwill message to the Christian faithfuls during the new year service held yesterday on the1st January, 2018 at the Church.
According to journalist and social media handler Panam Eshton Elias, It was historic because this was the first of it kind since the establishment of the Church. Their message centers on the need for both religion to tolerate one another irrespective of their beliefs and religious inclination.

Responding, the district pastor Rev. Joseph Babangida thanked the group for extending its hand of fellowship to the Church especially at this season. He reiterated the need for peace and cordial relationship to exist between the two major religion. And also prayed that the same gesture will be accorded to the Church to join the shia faithfuls in their gathering anytime soon.

The Adamawa state police command has gotten a new commissioner of police. He is  Abdullahi Ibrahim Yerima and he takes over from the immediate past police boss, Moses Jitoboh . This was made known by the Special Assistant to the Adamawa State Governor on Social Media, Auwal Hajja on his personal page during the CP's welcome ceremony by the Adamawa state Governor .
