The Adamawa State Governor Umaru jubilant Muhammed today received the new AIG of Police Lawal Tanko who was transferred from Zone 8 command HQ Lokoja to Zone 3 Command HQ Yola. The reception was conducted at the Government House Yola.
He was accompanied by 3 deputy commissioners of Police in charge of Admin, Operations and Zonal CIDM.
The Governor welcomed the New Police Boss and acknowledged his previous achievement and went on to say that the job of Policing and security was no longer a military affair alone but a societal effort.
Lawal takes over as the new AIG after the demise of the former AIG Abubakar Jinjiri who died in Yola.
