Governor Bindow Mourns  Madagali Bomb Victims

Adamawa state governor, Senator Muhammad Umar Jibrilla Bindow has reacted to the suicide bomb blast at Madagali, Friday morning, in which a few people were feared dead and several others injured.

The reaction, which came in a statement signed by his S A press and media affairs, Mr Martins Dickson, stated that Governor Bindow is absolutely saddened by the wicked act, the second of it's kind in 34 days.

According to the statement, Bindow mourns with the families of victims of the cruel and condemnable act.

“At this time of such tragedy, Governor Bindow wish to express his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and pray Almighty God grant repose to the souls of those who died and quick recovery to those who sustained injuries".

He meanwhile called on the people to report any suspicious persons and movements to law enforcement agents, traditional rulers or religious leaders.

The governor also urged the people of the state to be vigilant and strong, and rebuff the motive of striking fear and panic into their minds by the perpetrators of the evil act.

Bindow assured that the Adamawa state government is working with the security agencies in taking proactive measures to ensure the security of lives and properties of the people in the state.

Residents said three suicide bombers blew up themselves while approaching a security check point, where vehicles are stopped and screened before being allowed into the town.
