This afternoon, a truck loaded with crates of canned malt sodas and crates of eggs was involved In a reckless accident that led to the destruction of goods worth millions of Naira. According to eye witness, the accident happened along Ngurore to Yola road. Eye witnesses claim the accident was due to the recklessness of the truck driver who was speeding in a bid to over take another fellow driver while negotiating a bed on the road. Apparently the driver negotiated the bend more than expected and thus the frame of the trailer body was dislodged thus spilling the content of the vehicle.
A Volkswagen golf was crashed during the incident, fortunately no fatalities were recorded.
