On March 17, the Communications & Multimedia Design (CMD) program of SAS launched a free Photoshop software training series for members of the AUN community wishing to learn graphic design and photo enhancement.
Opening the series, Multimedia specialist Paul Ehinomen explained that the workshop was a crash course to encourage out-of-class learning experience for students interested in graphic design or photography. “Photoshop is the most needed software in advertising,” he said. The hands-on training, which lasts till end of the semester, teaches participants the basics of Photoshop, photo retouching, layer masking, poster designs, color theory, and composition. Mr. Ehinomen began by explaining the basic toolboxes in Photoshop that create the magic, stressing that the healing tool helps the designer in photo retouching or manipulation. He also encouraged them to learn the various shortcuts of the toolboxes for easy photo editing.
He announced that at the end of the semester participants will be awarded certificates.
