Adamawa State Police Command has arrested the five members of a robbery gang that had been terrorising the people of Adamawa and Taraba states.
According to Adamawa State Police Command spokesman, Othman Abubakar, the five suspects and their compliances now at large, were alleged to have robbed one Umaru Fali, owner of Hometel Hotel on Army Barracks Road, Jimeta, in December 2015 and made away with his Toyota Avalon Car and $10,000.
Abubakar added that the same syndicate also robbed one Bapetel Pariya of German Hospital, Yola, in his house on Army Barracks Road of his Honda Car with number plates FUR 558 AA on August 14.
He added that they were all charged to court and expressed surprise that while four were still in detention, one of them, said to have political connections, was walking freely on the streets.
