Adamawa State Governor Jubrilla Umar Muhammed on Monday increased the monthly stipends of the National Youth Service Corps members serving in the state from #2, 000 to #10,000.
The Governor announced this while receiving the management team of the NYSC, who paid him a courtesy call at the Government House in Yola.
He said:
“I feel it most expedient to review the N2,000 monthly stipend of corps members serving in this state to N10,000.”
The Governor said the gesture was in appreciation and recognition of the socio-economic contributions of the NYSC to the development of the state.
He said his government had also approved funds for the purchase of a 36-seater bus for the NYSC.
