Smart Group International, Prodec International Limited and some other international investors have kick started arrangements to build a cement factory worth $202 million in Guyk, Adamawa state.
This was disclosed by the delegation of the conglomerate, Prodec Intentional , which arrived in the state to undertake feasibility studies of the refineries projects expected to be sited in Guyuk local government.
Speaking exclusively to Hookup TV on arrival at the Yola International Airport on Tuesday in Yola Mr. Suraj Adeisi said the team was in Nigeria to commence the processes for the establishment of a cement refinery in the state.
“We have come to look for business opportunities in Nigeria and possibly to start construction of refineries here. We are here to look how we can invest in refinery in Adamawa state.
The Honorable Commissioner of Mineral resources for Adamawa state Barrister Shanti who came with the team from Abuja said "We have expected this team right from the inception of the government and we are very happy that they are here with us. and we are hoping that their coming will change the face of the state.
Making the Presentation at the Deputy Governor's office, the team revealed that The 1 million tons per year capacity cement factory according to him, will be completed in the next two years.
Also present during the presentation were the Deputy Speaker, Honourable Sunday peter, Former Adamawa State Governor, Ambassador James Barka
The Deputy speaker Honourable Sunday Peter expressed optimism towards the presentation and welcomed the investors to the state.
