Adamawa Entertainment Awards Update: Yola Trends steps down: Read official press release.

A while ago, we posted a story of how the Adamawa Entertainment Award organizers had reached a cross roads and were yet to emerge with a final resolution in regards to the two parties (Yola Trends Blog and Adamawa Celebrities Blog) running the same name for the event. Well just a few hourss ago, Yola Trends Blog founder who happens to be one of the organizers has finally stepped down for his counterpart to continue with the journey.


Dear Esteemed Readers,

I will first and foremost like to seize this moment to appreciate and thank you all for the love,patience and massive responses we got from you people concerning the said ‘Adamawa Entertainment Awards 2015’..I’m so overwhelmed with the supports shown,Its all love and I love y’all a big deal…

This press release is quite lengthy but kindly read through..

THE JOURNEY SO FAR:

It all started somewhere, 1st week of July 2015, EDDY ARTS and myself brought out ideas and concluded that we are going to host the 1st ever Adamawa Entertainments Awards ’15.
Plans were sailing smoothly and we even put out some publicity flyers and posters online dated back to 29 july 2015.
After like a week or so,controversies struck when MYKEBOU of Adamawa Celebrities Blog brought out publications that he’s hosting an award show too with the name ‘Adamawa Entertainments Awards (ADEA)‘…………WHAT?? same name??? i was as surprised as any sane being too….even tho’ he still claims it was a coincidence and bla bla bla, but wait,think of it, a coincidence after a week??? When publications went viral already????
I chose to ignore him and kept pushing things from our own side,thinking probably he’ll do something about his issues but he deliberately refused to…

As things went far away from getting better, officials of Adamawa entertainment industry invited both of us to see how we can set things straight, we were then left with two options; to either merge or one of the party changes its name….. Well on our part, we felt it’s not in any way right for us to change the name of our show considering facts that we publicised ours first and everyone knew that! We then decided to go for a merge, which Mykebou later bounced off the offer which I couldn’t say his good reasons for that…. That’s how the whole meetings ended with zero result.

We then met with better and experienced individuals than ourselves and obtained advices on which way to follow, at last suspending our show became the best decision we chose.

Some of the reasons why we suspended the awards show was:

•Avoiding further troubles and complications
•To keep tight the unity of our end artists and entertainers.
•To give good name to our state at large rather than becoming laughing stock because of mere awards shows and all.
•We also felt, progressing with our show may lead to cancellation of the two awards shows or resulting to low vibed shows and last last our artists will be deprived of the platforms and supports they’re anticipating to get….we pulled out so they’ll all have something to always look back at and smile.

LASTLY
•I want to appologize to all who’ll think we’ve failed them in anyway… We actually did that because we’re not driven by selfish and shallow motives…
•Appologies to whoever will find this press release offensive. None the less, that’s just the real and plain truth,no sugar coating!!
•Appreciations to everyone that saw us through thick and thin…I bow for y’all.
