See photos: NDLEA Yola arrest drug traffickers en-route to Cameroon
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Yola Command have arrested a 4 suspects with huge consignments of Tramadol Analgesics .
The anti-drug agency said the suspects, (pictured above) were arrested on their way to Cameroon.
A statement by the Head of the Command, Mr. Kibo says says the group concealed the drugs under a heap of bundled wrappers. but upon further checks by men of the agency, the hard drugs were discovered hidden underneath.
He also said the Two buses conveying the drugs was led by a red Toyota starlet which served as a surveillance vehicle to check for security operatives but their plans were however foiled.
on interrogation with the suspects, they said they were not aware of the drugs but had the though of only transporting wrapper bundles.
Upon their arrest, they made efforts to contact their boss who contracted the job to them but were told he had fled the country.
