SENATOR BALA IBN NA'ALLAH and SENATOR BINTA MASI GARBA

WHO IS SENATOR BALA IBN NA'ALLAH?
It has come to the attention of CUPS that one Senator Bala Ibn Na'Allah, the Deputy Senate Leader, has mobilsed 50 other Senators yesterday (19/9/2015) at an office in Abuja to rally support for the embattled Bukola Saraki.

By his own admission, Senator Bala confirmed that his group of 50 Senators were initially angry and suspected his Excellency, President Muhammdu Buhari, to be the brain behind the ongoing lawful prosecution of Bukola Saraki for money laundering and false declaration of assets.

According to him, following a "thorough" deliberation, they resolved that his Excellency did not have a hand in it. However, they came to the conclusion that there is a "Buhari Cabal" who are responsible. He then promised that his team of 50 Senators will deal decisively with this cabal.

According to Abusidiqu website, other Senators who attended the meeting include the following:

1. Senator Samuel Anyanwu (PDP, Imo East).
2. Senator Dino Melaye (APC, Kogi West).
3. Senator Binta Garba Masi (APC, Adamawa North).
4. Senator Kabiru Gaya (APC, Kano South).
5. Senator Rafiu Ibrahim (APC, Kwara South).
6. Senator Hamma Misau (APC, Bauchi Central).
7. Senator Hope Uzodinma (PDP, Imo-West).

Now, as human rights organisation that is not only fighting against malignant corruption in Nigeria in all its ramifications, but also fighting to help Nigeria achieve its full potential as one of the greatest countries on the planet, we found the meeting chaired by Senator Bala as treacherous, unpatriotic, anti-people, grotesquely offensive, and as an affront to the aspirations of 180 million Nigerians who espouse for change in polity and governance.

Furthermore, we see this meeting as an unlawful attempt to harass the Judges at the Code of Conduct Bureau Tribunal, and consequently pervert the cause of justice. This is wholly wrong and unacceptable. We condemn it in the strongest term possible. We contend that the CCBT judges MUST be allowed to perform their constitutional duties without any further harassment and intimidation. The rule of law must be allowed to take its natural course in this case.

For the avoidance of doubt, we are NOT taking the threat dished out by Senator Bala and his cabal of 50 Senators lightly. We will respond to this unpatriotic shenanigan accordingly. In the meantime, we would like Senator Bala and his cabal to understand that Buhari's cabal is actually made up of 180 million Nigerians.
