Adamawa State Government Mourns HID Awolowo


Below is a statement released by the Commissioner for Information, Adamawa State on behalf of the Executive Governor of Adamawa State condoling the Awolowo family over the demise of patricah Late HID Awolowo.

His Excellency the Governor of Adamawa State Senator Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla [above] wishes to express heartfelt condolences to the Children, grandchildren and the entire Family of the late HID Awolowo over her passing away at the ripe old age of 99 years.
Adamawa State Government mourns the death of this   "acknowledged jewel of inestimable value" There is no doubt that in her passing, the Ogun State and indeed the entire Country has lost a valuable elder and one of those considered the conscience of the Nation.
While condoling the family, Governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla wishes to pray for the peaceful repose of her gentle soul.
His Excellency Governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla equally sends healthy condolences to the entire Itsekiri Kingdom over the passing away of the Olu of Warri Ogiame Otowuse II.
The Government and people of Adamawa State wish to commiserate with the Government and people of Delta State over this irreparable lost.
As one of the most respected Traditional Rulers in the Country, the late Olu of Warri lived a life worthy of emulation.
Governor Umaru Jibrilla calls on the people of Warri, Delta State and indeed the whole of Nigeria to imbibe the virtues of selfless service associated with the late monarch.
