Former Vice president Atiku condoles Governor Elrufai over father’s death
The following was an extraction from The former Vice President's official facebook page:
Former Vice President and chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) Atiku Abubakar has expressed deep regret over the death of Governor Nasir el-Rufa’i’s father, Alhaji Yahaya Hamza.
The former Vice President in a statement released by his media office in Abuja on Friday, 28th August said he was grievously touched by the death of the former Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Education.
Atiku said Yahaya Hamza, who was also a former Secretary to the Kaduna State Government, was a distinguished educationist whose services to Nigeria would never be forgotten.
He described the deceased as one of the finest public officials, and that his demise has robbed the public service of a humble, but patriotic and dedicated public servant.
The former Vice President prayed to Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest in peace and strength and comfort to the el-Rufai family to bear the loss.
